  • About World Rummy Championship 2020 (WRC)
    • World Rummy Championship (WRC) 2020 is an international LIVE Rummy event hosted by RummyCircle which will be held in Sochi, Russia from 27th April 2020 to 30th April 2020. The qualifiers will be held online on the RummyCircle platform and the Grand Finale will be held in Sochi, Russia. The Grand Finale will have 150 finalists, a prize pool of 1.25 Crore and a 1st Prize of 50 Lakh
    • The World Rummy Championship 2020 (WRC) is open to cash players only. A Cash player is defined as a player who has successfully added cash in his/her RummyCircle account and has played at least one Cash Game.
  • Participation:
    • A player must have the latest version of the RummyCircle App in order to purchase Royal Entry - which ensures direct entry to the WRC Grand Finale.
    • Every player can get only one ticket to the World Rummy Championship 2020 Grand Finale in Sochi, Russia.
    • A player with multiple tickets to the WRC 2020 Grand Finale can use only one ticket to participate in the World Rummy Championship 2020 Grand Finale in Sochi, Russia. The other extra tickets will hold no value whatsoever.
    • Distribution of tickets to players in case of any disputes is the sole decision of the RummyCircle and binding on all aspirants.
    • Prize Information - The winners will be eligible to receive cash and non-cash prizes as per the prize structure which is subject to change.
    • Prize Credits - Cash prizes will be credited into the winner’s RummyCircle account post the event. The winners will receive the said amount in Indian currency (Rupees).
    • The 1st Prize Winner of World Rummy Championship 2020 will be awarded a cash prize of 50 Lakh (before TDS deduction).
    • TDS Deduction - TDS, if applicable, will be deducted by RummyCircle at prevailing rates. The recipient will have to submit a signed copy of the PAN card and/or requested documents to support@RummyCircle before claiming the prize.
    • RummyCircle reserves the right to disqualify or ban any person from one or all of the events if the person acts in a threatening and/or abusive manner to other players or to any member of staff or the public, this includes but is not limited to threats/statements made on social media, via telephone, on email or face to face.
  • For WRC Finalists:
    • All Finalists who have won the World Rummy Championship 2020 Grand Finale Ticket will be required to fill a details form, giving correct details required by RummyCircle for their travel, stay and other arrangements in Sochi, Russia.
    • Once a player qualifies for the World Rummy Championship 2020 Grand Finale, RummyCircle’s travel partner will get in touch with the player to book the players travel from the Airport nearest to the player’s hometown to Mumbai. The player will have to arrange for his/her travel from his/her hometown to the nearest Airport.
    • All details on whom the player needs to contact after reaching Mumbai will be sent across to players after they have confirmed their presence for the World Rummy Championship 2020 Grand Finale in Sochi, Russia.
    • If the player misses the flight from the nearest hometown airport to Mumbai, the player will have to arrange for travel by himself/herself.
    • Players will travel from Mumbai to Sochi in a private aircraft with limited seating, arranged by RummyCircle.
    • In the event of a player missing the flight to Sochi, RummyCircle will not be accountable for the same and the player will not be eligible for any refund.
    • Players will be provided accommodation on a twin sharing basis in Sochi, Russia.
    • Players will not be able to bring their families for the World Rummy Championship 2020 Grand Finale in Sochi, Russia.
    • Basic Medical assistance will be available in the hotel premises. Players should inform the RummyCircle team incase of support required for disabled people prior to the event.
    • Players will have to follow all travel arrangements made by RummyCircle once they arrive in Mumbai.
    • All participants must adhere to the schedule set out by RummyCircle during the event on all days.
    • Players must strictly follow the dress code mentioned in the itinerary whenever applicable. For more information, click here
    • RummyCircle will arrange travel insurance for all Finalists who will compete in the Grand Finale of the World Rummy Championship 2020
    • RummyCircle reserves the right to make changes/ cancellation in the itinerary, event flow and tournament in whole or part, without prior notice.
  • Commercial recording & usage:
    • RummyCircle reserves the right to film or record the players during the main event in Sochi, Russia & utilize the same with or without edits and modifications for online/offline promotions at any time in the future.
    • RummyCircle holds the right to summon the World Rummy Championship 2020 Finalists and Winners to record testimonials, understand their experience and collect feedback at any time.
    • By participating in the Promotion and winning the Prize Package, all Winners grant RummyCircle, as well as their marketing affiliates, a world-wide, sub-licensable, perpetual, royalty free, irrevocable right to use his/her name, image, voice and likeness for promotional, publicity and marketing purposes (whether online or offline) on all its platforms without any compensation and the Winners expressly waive any claims against RummyCircle.
  • Player responsibilities:
    • Players are expected to register on time for the event, adhere to the seating assignments, follow all instructions given by the dealers and speak up if they see any mistakes being made.
    • Players are expected to comply with the rules, abide by the dress code, follow proper etiquette and contribute to an orderly tournament.
    • Players are not permitted to speak on the phone while at the table. They must step away from the table to conduct their call and shall not contact or speak to other participants during games.
  • Tournament Seating:
    • All tournament seating will be assigned randomly and will not be changed.
    • Tournament staff reserves the right to balance tables at the start of the tournament and adjust seating to accommodate players with special needs throughout the tournament.
  • Deck Changes:
    • Deck changes will be on the Dealer push, or as determined by RummyCircle. Players may not ask for deck changes.
  • Penalties & Player Etiquettes:
    • Players on the same table cannot advise or criticize a play before the action is completed or even after it is completed.
    • Discussion of cards or strategy with any spectator is prohibited.
    • Seeking or receiving consultation from an outside source is prohibited.
    • Players on the same table cannot expose their cards to other players.
    • Players who show their cards to other players who have already dropped will receive a penalty. Players doing this repeatedly will be penalized.
  • Etiquette Violations :
    • Repeated etiquette violations will result in penalties assessed by the tournament staff and/or RummyCircle. Examples include, but are not limited to, unnecessarily touching cards dealt to other players, delaying the game, repeatedly acting out of turn, talking excessively or disturbing other players. In addition, inappropriate celebration through extended theatrics, inappropriate behaviour, or physical actions, gestures, or conduct may be penalized. These violations also include abusive behaviour towards playing styles of other players and/or berating players for how they have played or are playing the tournament.
    • In the event of misbehaviour or misconduct the player will be asked to leave the event. The player’s prizes, if any, will be forfeited and the player will not be eligible for any refund.
    • RummyCircle and floor personnel are to consider the best interest of the game and fairness as the top priority in the decision-making process. Unusual circumstances may on occasion dictate that decisions in the interest of fairness take priority over the technical rules. The decisions of RummyCircle and/or floor personnel will be final.
  • Foul Language :
    • The abuse of fellow players, tournament staff, venue staff or other personnel will not be tolerated. Foul, obscene or offensive language directed at any player or staff member may result in a penalty. Repeated non-directed foul, obscene or offensive language may also result in a penalty.
    • RummyCircle reserves the right to disqualify or ban any person from one or all of the events if the person acts in a threatening and/or abusive manner to other players or to any member of staff or the public, this includes but is not limited to threats/statements made on social media, via telephone, email or face to face.
    • All participants must behave in a courteous and civil manner throughout the tournament. Any individual who encounters inappropriate behaviour on the part of another individual should immediately contact the Tournament Staff. This shall include, but is not limited to, any player whose personal hygiene or health has become disruptive to the other players seated at their table. The determination as to whether an individual’s personal hygiene or health is disruptive to other players shall be determined by the Tournament Staff which may, in its discretion, implement sanctions upon any such player who refuses to remedy the situation in a manner satisfactory to RummyCircle.
    • Abuse of other players, tournament staff, venue staff or other personnel is strictly prohibited.
  • Penalties:
    • RummyCircle and/or the Tournament Staff may penalize any act, that in the sole and absolute discretion of RummyCircle is inconsistent with the official rules or best interests of the event.
    • In its sole and absolute discretion, RummyCircle and/or the Tournament Staff may impose penalties (listed below) ranging from a verbal warning escalating up to disqualification and exclusion from all RummyCircle Live Events. Penalties will be invoked without limitation, in cases of soft-play, abusive or disruptive behaviour. A penalty may be imposed if a player throws a card off the table, forcefully mucks their cards causing one or all cards to turn over and is repeatedly slow to act.
    • If a registered player is going to be late, or not available to play, and would like to be removed from the competition, they must notify RummyCircle of the same. Such a player will not be eligible for any refund.
    • RummyCircle will not be responsible for the loss of personal belongings during the players stay in Sochi, Russia.
    • RummyCircle will not be responsible for any injuries, personal harm, etc. during the players stay in Sochi, Russia.
    • The decision of RummyCircle in any dispute regarding winner announcement and disbursement of prizes shall be final and binding on all participants.
  • Modifications:
    • Notwithstanding anything contained herein, RummyCircle reserves the right to modify conditions applicable to withdraw or cancel the World Rummy Championship 2020 at any time without prior notice. RummyCircle's decision regarding the same will be final and binding without any liability whatsoever on RummyCircle.
    • All schedule dates, events, payouts and structures are subject to change at any time at RummyCircle’s complete discretion.
    • By entering the promotion, each entrant agrees to release, discharge and hold harmless the Company, its legal representatives, affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from any damages whatsoever arising out of this Promotion or the awarding or use of the Prize Package.
    • The Terms and Conditions of RummyCircle are applicable to all services offered on RummyCircle. Any violation of the Terms at any stage may result in disqualification from each World Rummy Championship 2020 Qualifier or Daily Finale or World Rummy Championship 2020 Grand Finale, forfeiture of prizes and such other action by RummyCircle as may be deemed necessary as per the Terms & Conditions.
    • These terms and conditions have been drafted in the English language. In the event of any discrepancy between the meanings of any translated versions of these terms and conditions and the English language version, the meaning of the English language version shall prevail.
  • Passport:
    • A player must have a valid passport before applying for the Russian VISA.
    • Every World Rummy Championship 2020 finalist must have a valid passport before departing for the Grand Finale in Sochi, Russia 2020 on 27th April 2020
    • Players must bear in mind that the passport application process will take minimum 10 working days and must plan accordingly.
    • RummyCircle will refund the passport application fees for all Finalists of The World Rummy Championship 2020 Grand Finale who confirm their presence for the event
    • RummyCircle will only redirect players to the passport application portal where they can apply for the passport. RummyCircle is not liable to apply for a Finalists Passport
    • Passport issuance is solely dependent on the authorities on submission of valid documents.
    • In the event of a player who has purchased Royal Entry but is unable to get a valid passport issued - RummyCircle will refund the entire amount back to the payment instrument through which the transaction was made.
  • Visa:
    • World Rummy Championship Finalists (Players with a ticket to the World Rummy Championship 2020 Grand Finale) can apply for the Russian VISA through RummyCircle’s Visa Partners or can arrange for the Russian Visa by themselves.
    • RummyCircle will proceed with the Visa application process only when a player wins/purchases (through Royal Entry) a ticket to the World Rummy Championship Grand Finale in Sochi, Russia 2020.
    • RummyCircle’s Visa partners will collect the documents: Valid Passport and Photographs from the participants at their doorstep.
    • If the Finalists decide to take RummyCircles assistance for Visa Application, they must not courrier their Valid Passport & Photographs to RummyCircle by themselves unless requested by RummyCircle for the same.
    • The Visa application process will take a minimum of 15 working days from the date of application.
    • The Visa issued for World Rummy Championship 2020, travel to Sochi, Russia will be valid only from 26th April 2020 to 2nd May 2020.
    • A participant cannot modify/extend their duration of stay in Russia beyond the event dates and must follow the schedule laid out for him/her by RummyCircle under all circumstances.
    • RummyCircle does not guarantee issuance of visa - as this is subject to timely submission of necessary documents. We are only helping the players to connect with a reliable visa agent & will not be liable for the same.
    • RummyCircle cannot be held accountable incase of loss of Passport.
  • Qualifier Details:
    • A player can participate in World Rummy Championship 2020 by playing online qualifiers and winning a ticket to the Daily Finale Tournament. On winning the Daily Finale, the player will earn a ticket to the Grand Finale which will be held in Sochi, Russia.
    • RummyCircle may add other game variants which will allow players to qualify for the World Rummy Championship 2020 Grand Finale.
    • A ticket to the Daily Finale does not guarantee entry into the World Rummy Championship 2020 Grand Finale in Sochi, Russia.
    • Players who win the Daily Finale will earn a ticket to the World Rummy Championship 2020 Grand Finale which will be held from 27th April 2020 to 30th April 2020 in Sochi, Russia.
    • Only players who win the World Rummy Championship 2020 Grand Finale Ticket through qualifiers or purchase the Ticket through Royal Entry will be eligible to play the World Rummy Championship 2020 Grand Finale in Sochi, Russia, from 27th April 2020 to 30th April 2020.
    • The World Rummy Championship 2020 Grand Finale tickets issued are non-transferable and non-refundable.
    • The World Rummy Championship 2020 Grand Finale ticket does not include any benefit, other than the ones mentioned here .
    • Entry to the Qualifiers or Daily Finale Tournaments will be on a first-come, first-served basis. RummyCircle will not be held responsible for players not getting a seat in any of the tournaments.
